Please see the two pictures I chose to compare and contrast. Both pictures were taken in Auto Mode and at different angles. The first picture was taken without flash and is darker. The second picture is much clearer overall; notice the colors in the leaves and the flower buds. The flower buds are almost unnoticeable in the first picture. The second picture is my favorite because of the clarity of the colors and the overall picture quality.

ReplyDeleteI agree the lighting the background and the colors of the plant make this a truly unique picture. I think your have chosen a perfect shot and it is well done. I really like the way the lighting highlights the color on the leaves making the silver, black, red and green pop and contrast with each other. Thanks Maria
You have taken many photos from around the plant, but they are all from an above view. Have you thought about taking them from underneath? How about taking a picture of the plant from the other side of the room? Or getting so close that you can hardly tell what it is?
ReplyDeleteI agree, I like the second picture better also. The first one is slightly out of focus while the second one is in really good focus which helps the colors really be vibrant - the contrast between the grey, red and green is real obvious. On both pictures I like your choice of the red cloth - it really makes the plant and its colors stand out. Both pictures are similar in perspective but I like how the second picture includes the whole plant in the picture while the first has buds running out of the picture - I think this is a personal preference but I like the composition better in the second picture.
