Centered & Rule of Thirds Assignment


 
 
The following pictures are of a balsam tree in my backyard. My daughter brought home the seedling of this tree when she was in preschool so we planted it.  She is now 27 years old!


Placed on the right
Centered


Placed on the left


I like the last picture the best because it takes in more scenery in the background.

    I agree with you that the image where the tree is placed on the left, works the best. It is for the exact reason that you point out. There is more depth to the photo. By including the sky, you included deeper background, which then gives you a nice foreground with the tree, a middle ground with the forest and then a background with the sky.
