Photoshop Images
It took me a long time to try to figure out how to combine two images! I had to go to Photoshop Online and watch some more tutorials. I am going to have to spend some time exploring and practicing to feel more confident about using the software. I was unable to outline just the body and place it into the base photo, so I did the whole image to get the assignment done.

Sherry- nice job cropping the first picture. You figured out how to use layers in this picture - which can be very hard. To separate the boy from the background in this picture would definitely be challenging since the background and his clothing have similar colors. I think zooming in and using the magnetic lasso with a lot of selection clicks may be the easiest way. I agree Photoshop is powerful but frustrating.

ReplyDeleteGreat job cropping your shot. I learned by practicing. I used the lasso tool to cut out my horse and moved it to my shot. Thanks Maria
Think of the selection tools as the equivalent of selecting text in a Word document. Each of the selection tools provide you with a different shape or capability. Once you see what they call the "marching ants" surrounding the section of the image's you just selected, you can use any of your editing tools that you would use in word. You can use the copy command, the cut command, the paste command and so forth between documents. Everyone has to start somewhere, and it doesn't matter where that is, as long as you keep trying.
ReplyDeleteI too had a hard time getting just the outline of a figure. I think I finally used the lasso tool to accomplish it. I think you did a great job putting the two photos together. I agree with you that spending some more time playing around with this program would be very helpful.
